Join singing storyteller Felicity Yeoh for a musical suitcase production of The Kingdom of Tigers, a heartwarming new picture book about the environment, family and the search for a home, set in the Malaysian rainforest and inspired by UN Goodwill Ambassador and actress Michelle Yeoh.
Tiger cub Hari lives in the jungle. As deforestation threatens his home and separates him from his mother, Hari must brave the wild with the friends he meets along the way, to find his mother and the sanctuary of his dreams.
Felicity Yeoh lives in London with her young family, and grew up in England, going back to visit family in Singapore and Malaysia every year. She loves reading out loud, and volunteered as an early years classroom reader and at the library throughout school and university. She teaches Sunday school and works in finance. Her poems have been commended for Faber’s FAB Prize (2020, 2021, 2022) and Penguin WriteNow 2021, and she was a Foyle Young Poet of the Year. Her adult fiction has been shortlisted for the Mo Siewcharran, Morley, Owned Voices, Joffe Books, London Library Emerging Writers and Book Edit Prizes and she received a London Writers Award in 2022. Her poetry was awarded the Sam Hadwell Memorial Prize from Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, where she studied Mathematics and acted in the Cambridge Footlights.
